Porcelain Veneers
What are Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers are thin shells of porcelain, they are about a half millimeter thick (the thickness of a fingernail) that are bonded onto the front of teeth to create a smile makeover. They create a beautiful result. It is harder than enamel, so it resists wear and can last for many years. Dental artists can manipulate the color and translucency to re-create the look of any tooth. And it resists stain better than tooth enamel. Very rarely will it discolor, unless the surface has been damaged. Only patients who are notorious scrunchers are not recommended to get Veneers.
What are they used for?
Veneers are great to:
- restore worn or chipped teeth
- cover gaps
- cover stained teeth
- optimize the shape of the teeth
- And generally: To create Your beautiful, perfect smile!
How and where are they created?
Veneers are created in the dental lab, in about six to eight days.
The dental specialist will have to check the teeth, possibly buff them and then take the impressions, which are sent to the dental lab.
Then, in a couple of days, a trial must be done. If the trial is successful, the final insertion and fixation of the veneer can be done within a couple of hours!
The all around price of one Veneer at the Empire Clinic is: € 280
