Birthmark removal, treatment of skin tumours and skin lesions

Skin covers the whole human body like a special organ.

In addition to its other functions, it protects us from the harmful impacts of the outside world.

Smaller or larger birthmarks, connective tissue nevus or other skin lesions may occur on any part of the body, causing no health problems but they may be bothering for their owners from the point of view of aesthetics.

Patients most frequently require the removal of birthmarks.

Skin lesions that show any signs of activity, get damaged or are exposed to irritation need treatment in any case, which means surgical removal in most cases. Removal is only possible using traditional surgical methods, which means that we excise the lesion from the skin by removing the appropriate size of healthy skin as well and then stitch up the wound.

We send the removed tissue to biopsy in every case.

The result of the biopsy tells us if the lesion was benign or malignant and also indicates if the plain of removal really took place in the healthy tissue.

The stitches need to be removed after 1-2 weeks and the result of the biopsy determines the further steps. In the vast majority of cases no additional treatment is needed after the appropriate surgical removal.
