Upper arm plastic surgery

Who do we recommend upper arm plastic surgery?

Upper arm plastic surgery is the ideal solution for those patients whose skin has become looser on the upper arms in their advancing years or after losing a lot of weight and this poses problems regarding their self-confidence and general mood. The treatment can be complemented with liposuction localised to the upper arms.

Upper arm plastic surgery

Upper arm plastic surgery is always performed under anaesthesia. During the operation, an incision is made on the inner-central surface of the upper arm (diagonally, T-shape or perhaps in a straight line) and then the excess fat and skin tissue is removed. The operation of the upper arm takes 1.5-2 hours. Patients usually have to spend a night at our clinic after the treatment and then they may leave. However, a special compression bandage is placed on the arm following the upper arm plastic surgery, which patients need to wear for a few weeks after the operation.

After upper arm plastic surgery

Stitches are generally removed on the second week following the upper arm plastic surgery; however, the compression bandage must be worn for 2-3 weeks. The result of the upper arm treatment is a thinner arm that suits the body. Only a faint line on the inner side of the upper arm will remain after the operation, the size and length of which will be according to the type of the surgical cut (straight, T-shaped or diagonal).

Physical work must be avoided for a month after the operation. If you perform clerical work, you can generally resume work after 3 weeks but you must be careful not to overstrain yourself and to relax a lot.
